Our History

Orbitrek® was founded in 2021 by John Smith, a fitness enthusiast and engineer. John was frustrated with the limited options for at-home cardio equipment. He felt that most elliptical machines on the market were bulky, expensive, and didn’t provide a natural stride motion.

So John set out to design a more compact, affordable elliptical cross trainer that could deliver an authentic elliptical experience. After months of research, prototyping, and refinement, the first Orbitrek® elliptical was born.

We launched with just one flagship model, determined to perfect the design before expanding our product line. The Orbitrek® elliptical immediately caught on with home fitness buffs who loved the smooth, low-impact motion and whisper-quiet magnetic resistance.

Buoyed by the success of our inaugural elliptical, we introduced the Orbitrek® Ultra in 2022. This premium model features an ultra-smooth 20-inch stride and Bluetooth connectivity to track workout data. The following year, we added the Orbitrek® Folding to our lineup – an ultra-compact, foldable elliptical ideal for small spaces.
